Quinta de Sant’Ana, full of wonders and charm, takes us back to childhood times and the simple luxuries of life. With that in mind owners Ann and James wanted to keep those emotions, after they grew up and started a family in this place. Nowadays, it remains their current home, yet they wanted to share their wonderful backyard of several gardens and forests with their guests.

Today with 5 charming family houses notably with different typologies and amenities. They can accommodate 2 couples such as groups of 10. You can choose Casa do Marreco to enjoy the incredible swimming pool surrounded by vineyards and orchards. Otherwise, look for the charming Casa dos Limões for afternoons watered by Quinta de Sant’Ana wine on the porch shaded by lemon trees.

• Visit Mafra! It is mandatory to pay a visit to Palácio de Mafra, with its Baroque style. With that said, it becomes the most relevant monument of it’s style in the country. Notice, don’t miss a visit to the library! A few kilometers away, you will find the charm of Aldeia Típica José Franco, a craftsman who in the early 1960s recreated an ethnographic village, where he represented the way of life of the locals and paid homage to his land.
• Discover Ericeira and its Surf culture surely don’t miss a visit to its main beaches, such as Foz do Lizandro and Ribeira de Ilhas. For a calm and Nature afternoon, schedule a visit to Tapada Nacional de Mafra with an area of 819 hectares. Go through the incredible forest and see several animals at large, including deer or wild boar.
• Taste the gastronomy! In other words don’t leave Mafra without tasting the incredible conventual sweets at ‘Fradinho’ pastry shop. Therefore, on your way to Ericeira, try the famous Pão com Chouriço in the typical village of José Franco. Then, taste the classic Seafood of the area at ‘Restaurante Sul’ or choose the best typical dishes at ‘Restaurante Avó’.
